Pahiyas Festival_ Lukban ,Quezon
The colorful Pahiyas Festival of Lukban ,Quezon is celebrated every 15th 0f May in honor of their Patron Saint Isidro Labrador (The patron saint of farmers and laborers.) Pahiyas is a filipino term "hiyas" which means jewel/decoration. The town showcases decorated and colorful houses embellish with harvested crops, vegetables, fruits as well as agricultural products such as fans, hats ,brooms etc. Other points of interest in Lukban are the rows of ancestral houses, the century old church, their especial Longganisang Lukban and the unique way of eating their famous pansit Habhab.Below are some of my festival's amateur shots.
